Traeth Crugan is mainly rocks and shingle with the occasional patch of sand. The bed is a similar mix. Fish caught include bass, dogfish, huss, whiting, dabs. On the A499 between Pwllheli and Llanbedrog is Penrhos. Between Penrhos and Llanbedrog there are two unmarked roads leading down to the sea, take the one nearer to Llanbedrog. There is parking along the side of the road, and easy access to the beach.
