The Fishing Passport: River Usk (Old Clytha) - Fishing in Wales

The Fishing Passport: River Usk (Old Clytha)

The River Usk at Old Clytha has several salmon pools and fishes well in most water heights with both fly and spinner.

Chest waders are needed to get the best out of the fishing and the wading is difficult in places – a wading stick is essential. There is also some excellent trout fishing to be had, with fish to over 3lbs caught in recent years.

At just over 470 yards (400m), Old Clytha is an attractive section of left bank fishing suited to a few hours fishing.

Parking is around 300m from the river.
