The River Dovey is one of the best sea trout rivers in the UK, if not Europe. The Dyfi lies in Mid Wales, the estuary forming the border between the counties of Gwynedd and Ceredigion. The New Dovey Fishery Association has some excellent night fishing water for sewin, with salmon fishing later in the season. The club controls about 15 miles of the river and offers weekly permits to visiting anglers on the lower river and day and season permits for the upper river, above Cemmaes Road.
