The Fishing Passport: Afon Lwyd

**UPDATE 2023** This part of the river Lwyd is now private fishing and has been taken off the Passport scheme.

The Fishing Passport has a stretch of the Afon Lwyd at Llantarnam Abby.

Flowing for the most part through deciduous woodland, this ¾ of a mile stretch of double bank Afon Lwyd offers fishing for superbly conditioned wild brown trout from the deep pools and fast riffles that characterise this beat.

The access and parking facilities are excellent, whilst the wading is relatively easy over a mostly gravel riverbed.
