Taff Bargoed Angling Association: River Taff - Fishing in Wales

Taff Bargoed Angling Association: River Taff

Taff Bargoed Angling Association has fishing on the River Taff.

The club has 1.5 miles of upper river Taff fishing.

The main section is single, left hand bank fishing, looking downstream from Pont y Gwaith bridge. From the bridge, the fishing goes downriver to Edwardsville for a mile. This section has wild brown trout only and the season here runs 3rd March to 30th September.

The club also has fishing on the the Taff starting at the river Cynon junction pool, on both banks upstream to a footbridge 0.5 miles upriver. The river here holds wild brown trout and grayling, so it is possible to fish for grayling in the winter months with fly or worm.

Day tickets are £20. These also cover the clubs stocked rainbow trout fishery.
