Rossett and Gresford Fly Fishers has fishing on the River Alyn, a tributary of the Dee. The Alyn rises in the Clwydian hills on the Llandegla moors and flows some 30 miles before reaching its confluence with the River Dee. It runs through a limestone gorge in the Country Park in Loggerheads, so the water is alkaline. Fly fishing only for brown trout. Grayling are also present. The season runs from the 3rd of March to the 30th of September, no extensions for Grayling. The club welcomes new members every year, there is no joining fee and people can apply for membership at any point during the season. In addition to providing nearly two and a half miles of extremely good fishing members are able to access day to day information on weather conditions, water levels etc via this the Club’s website.
