Rosebush Reservoir - Fishing in Wales

Rosebush Reservoir

Rosebush Reservoir is a deep upland reservoir, some 30 acres in size. Fishing, mainly from boats, is for wild brown trout. Bank fishing is possible, but be aware the banks are very steep and in some places boggy. The fish respond well to traditional wet flies and typically run up to 1lb in weight, although in recent times a few much larger fish to over 4lb have been caught.

Issue of day tickets for Rosebush reservoir was once possible from the Dwr Cymru Welsh Water office at Llys-y-fran reservoir. Currently Rosebush is a syndicate with no day tickets.

Rosebush Fly Fishing Society has a limited membership syndicate. There is a waiting list and anyone who is interested can contact David Nattrass.
