The Tarrell is a key Usk spawning tributary but is also known for producing some excellent trout up to 2.5 pounds but the average fish being around 10-12 inches.

Chest waders are recommended as there are a few deep pools but thigh waders will allow you to fish the majority of the beat. The wading is hard going over bedrock, so studs are essential.
