1.75 miles of the double bank fishing on the lower river Tarrell that flows from the Brecon Beacons through the western side of Brecon into the main river Usk. The Tarrell is a key Usk spawning tributary but is also known for producing some excellent trout up to 2.5 pounds but the average fish being around 10-12 inches. Chest waders are recommended as there are a few deep pools but thigh waders will allow you to fish the majority of the beat. The wading is hard going over bedrock, so studs are essential.
