Rhoscolyn - Fishing in Wales

Rhoscolyn

Rhoscolyn, also known as Borthwen or Borth Wen, is a sandy beach with small rocky outcrops at either end. The bottom is mixed sand and rocks, Fishing from the rocks is usually more productive but the bottom is rocky.

Fish include pollack, dogfish, mackerel, bass, flatties, codling, dabs, coalfish, bullhuss.

Turn off the A5 in Y Fali (Valley) onto the B4545, signposted for Bae Trearddur (Trearddur Bay). Rhoscolyn is signposted off this road at Pontrhydybont (Four Mile Bridge). Take this road and, just before Rhoscolyn village, the beach (Traeth) is signposted left. Follow this lane to the car park by the beach.
