Rhos Las Reservoir - Fishing in Wales

Rhos Las Reservoir

Rhaslas (or Rhos las) Pond is a very shallow, clear mountain reservoir. It holds a few coarse fish including small jack pike and perch.

Rhos Las Reservoir, also known as Rhaslas Pond, is a 15 acre reservoir. This was bought by mining company Miller Argent a few years ago. It holds a few pike, perch and roach, but very low stock density.

The lake can become very low in summer.

At this time the fishing is locally considered as ‘free’ for rod licence holders, but sadly the lake has been drained by the owners leaving only a small pool. The future of the reservoir is uncertain.
