Rhayader and Elan Valley Angling Association has fishing on the Elan Valley reservoirs in Mid Wales. The fishing is on Craig Goch reservoir (the top in the chain), Pen-y-Garreg, Garreg-Du and Caban coch, which in total cover 850 acres of wild water. All of the reservoirs hold abundant wild brown trout. The club also stock a few browns each year to supplement the native stock, in the more accessible bays. Day tickets are available from Hafod Hardware store, Daisy Powell newsagents in Rhayader or the Elan valley visitor centre.
