Rhayader and Elan Valley Angling Association has fishing on the Elan Valley reservoirs in Mid Wales. The fishing is on Craig Goch reservoir (the top in the chain), Pen-y-Garreg, Garreg-Du and Caban coch, which in total cover 850 acres of wild water. All of the reservoirs hold abundant wild brown trout. From 6oz up to 4lb. Average size is about 10oz. The club no longer stock trout to supplement the native population, so all of the fish are wild. Fishing is fly only. Day tickets are available from Hafod Hardware store, Daisy Powell newsagents in Rhayader or the Elan valley visitor centre.
