Porth Cadlan is a sandy beach with scattered rocks, fishing onto similar. It is covered at high tide. Fish available include turbot, dabs, bass, rays, whiting, pollack, dogfish. On the coast road from Abersoch to Aberdaron, about halfway between Aberdaron and Y Rhiw, is a hamlet called “Penycaerau” where there is a staggered crossroads, About 100 yards on the Aberdaron side of this, turn down an unmarked lane towards the sea. Follow this lane to its end, by=passing the first farm, and payable parking is available at the second farm (Cadlan Isaf). The beach is accessed via a footpath.
