These are two very small mountain lakes in the Ogwen Valley high above Cwm Idwal. The larger lake holds small wild brown trout in good numbers, up to 1/4lb in weight. The smaller lake is very shallow and appears to be fishless. Llyn Clyd is the second highest lake in Wales that holds brown trout. It is a steep and strenuous walk up to this beautiful spot above Llyn Idwal. It is unknown who has the fishing rights and it is said locally the fishing is ‘free’. We have been unable to locate any contact details, so we recommend anglers enquire locally.
