Llantrisant & Pontyclun Anglers Association had fishing on the River Ely and Mountain Lake.

The River Ely fishing is some 10 miles and has wild brown trout and a few coarse fish species such as dace and chub.

NOTE: Fishing rights are private on the river Ely between the Miskin Scout village and the Miskin railway bridge. Private gardens and woodlands at Miskin Mill and the woodland at Mill Race should not be accessed without permission

Mountain Lake is a newly formed water with tench, carp, bream and perch.
