Llandovery Angling Association - Fishing in Wales

Llandovery Angling Association

Llandovery Angling Association offers salmon and sea trout fishing on several miles of the upper river Towy and tributaries Bran and Gwydderig.

The club has also recently secured the Pantyscallog beat on the upper river Usk, which is around a mile.

Llandovery Angling Associations two main fisheries are on the upper Towy above and below Llandovery.

Below Llandovery the river is classic Towy sea trout water, perfect for fly fishing at night. Above Llandovery the river narrows, with deep rocky pools and gorges ideal for spinning.

Their waters have excellent sewin and salmon fishing, especially at the end of season or if there has been a lot of rain in spring/summer. Trout numbers and size have been increasing in recent years.

Permits are available on season, weekly and daily basis – visit the club website for details.

Day/Week Permits to fish the waters can still be purchased from the Towy Bridge Inn, Rhandirmwyn.
