A 1100 acre water supply reservoir built in the Victorian era, lake Vyrnwy has been fished for over 100 years. It has an abundant population wild brown trout averaging 10oz to 1lb. It fishes well to ‘loch style’ methods with traditional wet flies. The lake was once stocked with rainbow trout, but these are no longer stocked. Fishing is from boat only. Boat and engine hire available on-site.
