Goldcliff is a shingle and silt beach, backed by a sea wall. Fish include flounders, sole, rays, bass, conger. In Liswerry, east of Newport, turn south off the A48 down Nash Road, which leads to Goldcliff. Once there, turn down Boat Road which leads to the beach. Park with care on the road.
Both fish onto mainly clean ground. The usual preference is to fish the beach, with the wall being used around high tides.
