Cambrian Angling Association has fishing for wild brown trout on Llyn Dubach (not to be confused with llyn Du Bach Y bont). It is a stunning location with a crag high above the lake. This 8 acre lake is situated above the village of Ffestiniog and is split into two parts by a wall. The smaller llyn is very weedy in summer. It can be reached by the same route as llyn Manod, from the town follow an old tramway track about 30 minutes uphill walk. Both lakes hold plenty of free rising trout to around 8oz with the odd fish to 1lb. Any method is permitted. A day ticket here also covers 14 other Cambrian AA stillwaters for you to roam around in one day. As of 2024, tickets can no longer be booked online with The Fishing Passport. Information on local ticket outlets can be found on the clubs website.
