Cambrian Angling Association has fishing for wild brown trout on Llynoedd Cwn. These lakes are around 2 hours walk from Tanygrisiau and are made up of three main pools of about one acre each, with other small pools nearby. The top pool is peaty and presumed fishless, but the other two contain fish, the lowest being considered the best bet. They fish well with fly or spinner, with 8oz fish being about average. Fish to 1.5lb have been caught. A day ticket here also covers 14 other Cambrian AA stillwaters for you to roam around in one day. As of 2024, tickets can no longer be booked online with The Fishing Passport. Information on local ticket outlets can be found on the clubs website.
