Cambrian Angling Association has fishing for wild brown trout on Llyn yr Adar. Any method is permitted. At a height of 1,874’ and situated on the North Eastern Slopes of the Cnicht Mountain, Llyn Adar is not very accessible and involves a 1½ to 2 hours walk from Tan y Grisiau. Nevertheless it is well worth the visit and situated amongst marvellous scenery, trout up to 2lbs are regularly caught. It is approx 10 acres and fishes well with fly or spinner. A day ticket here also covers 14 other Cambrian AA stillwaters for you to roam around in one day. As of 2024, tickets can no longer be booked online with The Fishing Passport. Information on local ticket outlets can be found on the clubs website.
