Cambrian Angling Association has fishing for wild brown trout on Llyn Manod. Any method is permitted. This 16-acre lake lies halfway between the Manod Mawr and Manod Bach mountains, above the town to the East. Fishing is rather rough due to the rocky shoreline, but the lake holds plenty of fish. These are small, but very free rising making it a great lake for a beginner. Manod is at 1,400’ above sea level and is a 30 minutes walk from Blaenau Ffestiniog. It fished well with fly or spinner. A day ticket here also covers 14 other Cambrian AA stillwaters for you to roam around in one day. As of 2024, tickets can no longer be booked online with The Fishing Passport. Information on local ticket outlets can be found on the clubs website.
