This natural lake is the source of the river Rheidol and is under the summit of Plynlimon. It is a walk up a track from Nant-y-moch reservoir of around 1.5 miles. The track could be driven in a good 4×4, but a normal car is not advised.

This is a truly wild remote place. Fish are wild and can run up to 1lb, although 5oz is about average. They can be free rising and the takes are lightening fast.

Fly, spinning and worm fishing is allowed.
