Aber Mawr - Fishing in Wales

Aber Mawr

Aber Mawr is a shingle beach above the high tide mark and sand below, with rocks either end. It fishes onto a mainly clean bottom, rough by the rocks. There are also some ancient tree trunks preserved in the water.

Fish include wrasse, bass, pollack.

From the A487 between Fishguard and St. David’s, follow the brown signs to Melin Wlan Tregwynt (Tregwynt Woollen Mill). Continue past the mill to a T-junction, where turn left. Very shortly, take the lane on the right, which leads to a parking area above the beach.
