Flimston Bay - Fishing in Wales

Flimston Bay

Flimston is a small bay with a sand, shingle and rocky beach. It fishes onto similar ground. There are pillars of rock and caves. Beware of the tides.

Best known for bass, pollack have also been caught.

Flimston Bay is part of the Castlemartin range, so is not always accessible. For information on access times, do an internet search for “Castlemartin Firing Times”
Alternatively, contact 01646 662367 (recorded message) or the gatehouse 01646 662280 (manned 24 hours a day).

At Merrion Cross, the B4319 from Pembroke to Castlemartin takes a sharp right turn, do not take this but carry straight on. Watch for a left turn down Emigate Lane, signposted Creigiau Stack / Stack Rocks. Follow the road, ignoring any lanes running off it. There is a car park at the end. Walk east to the bay. Scramble down carefully. Not for the less active.
