Afonwen has a mixed beach, sand, shingle and rocks, fishing onto similar ground. Fish available include bass, rockling, huss, dogfish, eel, whiting, flatfish. Afonwen is on the A497, about halfway between Criccieth and Pwllheli. At the roundabout in the village, turn south down a lane. This leads to the beach, where car parking is available.
