Merthyr Tydfil Angling Alliance has wild brown trout fishing on the upper River Tarrell, a small mountain river that rises near Pen-y-fan and flows into the Usk at Brecon. The river is tree lined and hard to fish, but does hold some nice wild trout, mostly small but fish to 2.5lb are caught each season.
Fishing is either fly or worm.
This beat is shared with the Fishing Passport – so the fishing can be booked online.
