As of summer 2024 there are two coarse fishing lakes in the Millennium Coastal Park run by Carmarthenshire county council with fishing available, both lakes are in the Burry Port area. These lakes have been re-opened after nearly 10 years from when the local angling club folded, with investment help from NRW These are: Morolwg pond – The Specimen Fishing Lake – approx. 3 acres – this unusual, shaped lake with 16 pegs with an island in the middle is stocked with Carp of up to 25lb, will have great appeal to the specimen angler. Dyfatty pond General coarse fishery – less than an acre – small, weedy lake that holds range of coarse species such roach, tench and carp. Carp to double figures. Cost Annual pass – £60 for year Day pass – £10 (dawn till dusk). Bailiffs are in operation.
