UPDATE: the shop is closed due to a fire in February 2026. Green’s fishing tackle in Pontllanfraith is now owned and run by Carl Roper, and was originally founded by Howard Green. The shop supplies coarse, carp and game fishing tackle, as well as bait and day tickets for local rivers, Sirhowy and Ebbw on Islwyn Anglers. The shop also sells tickets for the Royal Oak Stretch of the river Rhymney.
