GDPR STATEMENT
‘Fishing In Wales’ GDPR Policy Summary.
Fishing In Wales (Angling Trust) has an ongoing process to ensure GDPR compliance. Specifically:
- FIW email sign up – we only retain your first name, last name, email address and type of fishing you are interested in, no other personally identifiable information is held.
- Your email address will be used to send you periodic newsletters. These will update you on our activities, for example, whenever new content is posted on the website.
- We will also email you occasional angler participation surveys, which may request further information about your fishing activities or requirements. This is in order for us to develop our marketing strategies, gauge angler satisfaction and to help us produce content specifically for you. Disclosure of personal data is not mandatory on surveys, but is optional.
- Your information is retained on a secure, encrypted server and will never be used other than for the above stated purpose by FIW (Angling Trust)
- Personal data will never be passed to any third party other than: Angling Trust, Wye & Usk Foundation, Visit Wales, Goodform Group, Environment Agency (EA) and Natural Resources Wales (NRW).
- You may unsubscribe at any time with immediate effect by clicking on the “Unsubscribe” link which will appear at the foot of all emails sent to you.
- Alternatively, you may contact us directly to request we delete your data. This will be actioned promptly and confirmed to you when done.
Fishing In Wales (Angling Trust) supports and fully acknowledges its responsibilities under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) which came into force in May 2018.
POLICY SUMMARY
