Byddan nhw&#8217;n hela am bysgod bach fel sprats, macrell bach a sandeels rhwng d\u0175r canol a&#8217;r wyneb, ac ar wely&#8217;r m\u00f4r ar gyfer pysgod lledog, mwydod a chrancod a physgod cregyn. <\/p>\n\n<p>Mae tociad mwy yn tueddu i fyw mewn d\u0175r dyfnach, ac yn arbennig o ffafrio bwydo dros adeiledd, tra bod ffurf Pollock llai yn cael ei roi mewn cawodydd rhydd a thueddant i aros mewn d\u0175r ysgytlaeth lle byddant yn bwydo ar ddeiet ehangach gan gynnwys cregyn gleision, crancod, mwydod yn ogystal ag unrhyw bysgod bach y gallant eu dal. Ceir rhan o bysgota Pollock yn gyfystyr \u00e2 nodau creigiau gan fod Pollock yn ffafrio hela ymhlith neu dros ardaloedd creigiog a chwyn. <\/p>\n\n<p>Mae pollack yn gryf mewn pysgota ac yn rhoi cyfrif mawr o&#8217;u hunain ar y taclo golau \u2013 byddant yn cymryd abwyd a hefyd lures, hyd yn oed hedfan yn \u00f4l ar linellau suddo. Mae&#8217;n well gan pollack gael marciau d\u0175r clir, felly yng Nghymru maent yn tueddu i gael eu canfod yn fwy cyffredin oddi ar arfordir y gorllewin a&#8217;r Gogledd.
