Wallog is a shingle beach and fishes onto mainly clean ground. There is also a shingle causeway, known as Sarn Gynfelyn, running out to sea. The favoured mark is off the causeway.
Fish caught here include bass, dogfish, plaice, pollack.
Wallog is off the B4572 between Borth and Aberystwyth. There is a lane to the beach, but this is a private road. There are two main possibilities for parking.
The first is to keep an eye out for a public footpath sign on the western side of the road, about 1 mile north of Clarach. Opposite this is a lane. About 200 yards up this lane, on the left, there is an old quarry with space to park. From here, walk back down the lane, cross the B4572 and follow the footpath to the beach.
The second option is to park at Clarach, which is on the B4572, and also signposted off the A487 at Bow Street. From the crossroads in the village a road runs westwards and leads down to a car park by the beach. From here walk north up the cliff path to Wallog.
