Vale of Clwyd Angling Club has fishing on the River Clwyd / Clywedog at Llandyrnog. It is really wild fishing and holds a good head of brown trout, some of them quite big. It can also hold a surprisingly large number of migratory fish from June or July onwards depending on rainfall.

Fly fishing is possible in some places but the beat is probably more suitable for spinning or worm fishing.
