The most notable rock mark is probably Dysynni Rocks.
Fish include eels, bass, garfish, mullet, turbot, dogfish, whiting, rays, plaice.
There are also sewin (sea trout), mainly in the estuary, which may be fished for with a licence.
To reach the estuary, from Bryn Awel Square, Tywyn, near the railway station, take the Sandilands road heading north, bearing right just before the level crossing. Continue up this road as far as the railway bridge over the river where there is parking along both sides of the road. Footpaths lead to the water.
Tywyn also has fishing from North and South Beaches.
