Pwllheli has fishing from Gimblet Rock, which fishes onto shingle and sand.
Fish caught around Pwllheli include rays, black bream, whiting, bass, flounders, dogfish, dabs, eels, gurnards, mackerel, sharks, huss, tope.
Gimblet Rock is reached from the A497. In the town centre, take the left turn sign posted “Traeth” (Welsh for “beach”). After about 600yds, turn left at a roundabout. Go past a boat yard on the left hand side. Some roadside parking is available at the end of the boatyard. Walk past the Life Boat Station to the sea.
Pwllheli also has fishing from Abererch Beach (also called Glan y Mor), South Beach and Glan-y-Don.
