Porthcawl: Pier - Fishing in Wales

Porthcawl: Pier

Porthcawl has fishing from the Pier, also known as the Breakwater, which has a lighthouse. The bottom is clean sand apart from a patch of rocks near the harbour entrance.

Fish caught in the Porthcawl area include gurnard, bass, rays, pollack, mullet, conger, mackerel.

For the Pier, travel south on the A4106 in Porthcawl and go straight on across a roundabout. Carry on along the promenade past the harbour. There is some parking near the lifeboat station, past which the Pier is accessed. Otherwise there is plenty of roadside parking.

Porthcawl also has fishing from several beaches and rock marks.
