Porth Oer - Fishing in Wales

Porth Oer

Porth Oer is a sandy beach. It is also refered to as “Whistling Sands” because it sometimes squeaks when walked on.

Fish include bass, pollack, wrasse, mackerel, whiting, codling, coalfish.

At Llanhaelhearn on the A499 take the B4417 for Tudweilog. This joins the B4413 and shortly after this Porth Oer is signposted. There is a car park, for which there is sometimes a charge. Access to the beach is via the road.
