New Quay has fishing from Harbour beach, which lies between the pier and the breakwater and is sandy with a sandy bed. Fish include conger, bass, mullet, huss, plaice, garfish, mackerel, whiting, dabs, dogfish. Harbour beach has some car parking available but it may be necessary to park in the main car park. Newquay also has fishing opportunities from several beaches, a pier, a breakwater, a harbour and rock marks, which are available at the ends of some beaches, fishing onto similar ground as the relevant beach.
