Flint has fishing from the Castle and the Cob. Both have fishing from grass and silty banks, fishing onto sandy silt.

Fish caught include flounders, plaice, codling, whiting, bass, conger. Salmon and sewin (sea trout) are also possible, but fishing for these requires a licence.

With continual industrial development taking place, access is not easy. It is possible to reach both the Castle and the Cob from the Castle. In Flint, follow the signs to the Castle and park in the car park or on the road near it. To reach the Castle fishing, walk out of the car park, up the road to the right. There is a footpath to the bank about 400 yards up the road. The Cob is accessed by walking up the road slightly to the left and opposite the car park. Take the second turning on the right. About 250 yards up is a footpath which leads to the Cob.
