Bennar Fawr - Fishing in Wales

Bennar Fawr

Bennar Fawr is a mainly sandy beach with odd patches of rocks and shingle.

Fish caught include bass, flounders, whiting, dabs, dogfish, rays, turbot, plaice.

Bennar Fawr is near Llanddwywe, which is on the A496, roughly halfway between Barmouth and Harlech.
Travelling from the south, turn left in the village, the lane is signposted “Traeth” (beach). Follow the road to a car park from where a footpath through the sand dunes leads to the beach.
