Bala and District Angling Association has mixed coarse and game fishing on Llyn Tegid (also known as Bala Lake).

Fish include perch, roach, pike, brown trout, rainbow trout, grayling, eels, minnows, loaches, ruffe and bullheads.

The legendary gwyniad is a plankton feeder and seldom caught on rod and line. It is a relic of the ice age and unique to Llyn Tegid.

Methods allowed depend on the species, water and season.
